In 2025, Midway Blitz impacted the safety and livelihood of Chicago’s immigrant communities and the city at large. In this Public Newsroom, we’ll learn how community organizations have stepped up to offer sustained support, shifting from rapid response to long term organizing, and what you can do to get involved.

About our partners:

  • Latino Union of Chicago is a worker center that builds power with day laborers, household workers, and other contracted workers to fight for social and economic justice through education, organizing, advocacy, and coalition building.

  • PUÑO (Pilsen Unidos por Nuestro Orgullo) is a coalition dedicated to advocating for the protection of immigrant rights through legal support, education, and community engagement in Pilsen and its surrounding areas.
