City Bureau’s reporting fellowship is a journalism school for the people: a place where Chicagoans from across the city can develop skills, share resources and create impactful reporting that shifts power in our city.

This summer we have ambitious plans, and we’re asking for your support to make them possible.

Your donation of any amount makes a real impact on our work:

$3 buys a cup of coffee during an interview.
$50 funds one reporting trip (covering transit, gas, or Lyft rides).
$250 covers photography or illustrations for a published piece.
$500 covers two weeks of a reporter’s fellowship stipend.
$1,000 covers a full month of critical reporting and learning

Able to give more than $1,000? Reach out to our team if you’re interested in funding all or part of a reporting cycle.

Your contribution proves that journalism is a collective process and a community good. Thank you from our whole team.
